Hamada Makarita

After graduating from the Medical College of Virginia in 1988, Dr. Makarita opened a solo private practice in Northern Virginia with an emphasis on Aesthetic Reconstructive Dentistry. He believes strongly in continuing education and is committed to keeping up with the latest techniques and materials to provide his patients with exceptional dentistry.  Dr. Makarita was awarded Mastership status in the Academy of General Dentistry in 2000 and he is among an elite group of cosmetic dentists who have achieved Accredited Fellowship status by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD).  In addition, he achieved Mastership status with the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI), where he is a clinical instructor and regional director. He is a Master of the International Congress of Oral Implantology, a member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and has also served as a board member of the IACA and is a member of many dental societies.  Dr. Makarita was recognized internationally by winning numerous smile gallery awards with the AACD, including the prestigious People’s Choice Award. His cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry has been featured twice on the cover of the Journal of Cosmetic Dentistry and he has authored clinical articles related to TMJ, occlusion, intraoral photography and aesthetic dentistry. Dr. Makarita is a national and international lecturer in the field of aesthetic reconstructive dentistry and Occlusion. He has been voted by his peers among top dentists several years in a row in the Washingtonian Magazine, The Northern Virginia Magazine, and Virginia Living Magazine.
