The first half of this course covers the anatomy of a malpractice suit. The emphasis is on minimizing risks of malpractice suits and defending yourself if you are sued.

The second half covers testimony in depositions and trials both as a defendant and an expert including tips on how to excel as an expert witness.

Speaker: David Miller, DDS

david-miller-ddsDavid B. Miller DDS graduated from the University of Illinois Dental School in 1980. He maintains a general practice in Roseville, CA. An alumnus of both the Pankey Institute and LVI, Dr. Miller is a Master of the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Miller has a special interest in TMJ and Orofacial Pain. He is a Master of ICCMO and a Diplomate of the American Board of Craniofacial Pain, the American Board of Orofacial Pain, the American Academy of Pain Management and the American Board of Forensic Dentistry. He serves as a Board Examiner for the American Board of Craniofacial Pain. A published author on numerous dental topics and an international lecturer, Dr. Miller is a Fellow of LVI, the American Orthodontic Society, and the International College for Oral Implantology. Dr. Miller lectures in the Full Mouth Reconstruction course at LVI and is a frequently called upon to be an expert witness in malpractice and personal injury lawsuits around the country.
